Hotel Plaza Group is a listed hotel subsidiary of Singapore-listed UOL Group Limited, one of Asia’s established hotel and property management companies. Headquartered in Singapore, the Group owns, manages and / or markets over 30 hotels, resorts and serviced suites in Asia and North America, including those under management. The Group comprises two acclaimed brands: Pan Pacific and Parkroyal.

With rapid expansion plans globally, we’re looking for highly motivated individuals to be based at our Corporate Office in Singapore.

Corporate Communications Manager

Reporting to the Senior Vice President – Marketing, the role of the Corporate Communications Manager is to lead and direct all communications communications strategies and initiatives for the group, specifically :

  • Public Relations – to spearhead and manage all PR activities, including the writing of Press Releases, key messages, internal and external communications, drafting of speeches, media presentations for the senior management team.
  • Press & Media Relations – plays an instrumental role in actively promoting media relations (locally, regionally and internationally), organises media conferences and launches, as well as innovative story pitching to generate accurate and visible press coverage.
  • Develops the annual PR & Communications strategies for the group, while monitoring the effectiveness of various programmes to track ROI while replicating successful events, and the sharing of “Best Practices” with all hotels.
  • Crisis Communication – anticipate and manage strategies for mitigating issues, ensuring the development of suitable communications plans for audiences affected by the situation.
  • Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) – to establish the company as a caring and socially responsible organisation to earn public goodwill while raising brand awareness of the organisation through such activities.
  • Develops new relationships with strategic partners and alliances, while leveraging on existing ones to ensure “top-of-mind” among editors and in building brand awareness.
  • Manages the annual communications budget, working effectively with external agencies while playing a key supporting role to all hotels to ensure ROI.

The Person

  • Minimum 6 years relevant experience within Marketing Communications / Communications
  • Degree in Marketing / Communications from a recognised University.
  • Hospitality / tourism, high-end luxury goods or agency background preferred.
  • Strong copywriting skills, editorial background with the ability to pitch stories.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken).
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills – able to communicate across all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, able to work with tight timelines
