MTV Networks, a unit of Viacom (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), is one of the world’s leading creators of programming and content across all media platforms. MTV Networks in South East Asia and China comprises three distinctly branded channels in the region: MTV, the world’s largest television network and the leading multimedia brand for youth; Nickelodeon, the leading entertainment brand dedicated exclusively to kids; and VH1, the music video network that keeps adult viewers connected to the music they love. MTV Networks has many channels and programming services in Southeast Asia and Greater China. MTV and Nickelodeon’s businesses also include branded consumer products, program sales and digital media including online and wireless.

We are looking for a dynamic and talented individual to fill the following vacancy

CONTRACTS MANAGER (Contract)

Responsibilities:

Review agreements related to the MTV and Nickelodeon business such as advertising agreements, marketing agreements, music rights related agreements, program acquisition agreements, vendor agreements;
Ensure that all agreements comply with standard approved terms and conditions, and meet business requirements and objectives as directed by Legal team and business functions;
Basic contract drafting required;
Corporate secretarial work including reviewing and drafting of board resolutions, preparation of appointment letters, and other corporate documents;
Liaise with colleagues in other offices in New York and other parts of Asia to perform required duties.

Requirements

Diploma in Law from a recognized tertiary institution in Singapore or other relevant jurisdiction
At least 5 years’ paralegal experience in reviewing of business contracts with drafting experience
Practical understanding of contract law and its application to contracts
Meticulous, attentive to details in reviewing, preparation and drafting of documents
Teachable, great attitude, desire to learn and grow professionally and personally
Works well independently with minimal supervision but a great team player as well
Handles stress well and meets deadlines
Fast learner, takes the initiative, motivated, self starter
Mature, disciplined, discrete, handles sensitive issues and documents appropriately
Enjoys being part of a business / deal making process
Enjoys music and would like to be part of the media entertainment industry
