Chief Financial Officer

The Job:

Set up the Finance & Accounting system and procedures for the several branches
To actively participate in the strategic business planning process and provide financial guidance and advice to the management team consistent with the overall financial policy.
To provide overall leadership and direction to all finance issues within the group.
Keep abreast of latest updates in accounting standards and be involved in training the regional and international finance teams on accounting, policies and standards.
Working with and exchanging foreign currencies.
Prepare full set of accounts in accordance with the local and international accounting requirements and provide monthly, quarterly and yearly submission of financial reports to be audited
GST, VAT claims and issues, taxation, audit and other relevant issues (ensuring that all requirements are met)
To contribute to strategic business planning and development through tax planning.
To liaise with auditors, bankers, lawyers, and relevant authorities across the regions and countries when necessary, particular within the Asian region, countries such as India, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand.
To carry out special projects from time to time as required by the management.
To carry out monthly performance review and analysis.
To perform budgeting and periodic re-forecasting.
Treasury management.

The Person:

Capable of working in a company which has passed the start up phase, and is now ready for revenue
Overseas travel, based either in Bangkok or Singapore
Minimum a master degree in Accountancy or its equivalent
Approximately 15 years working experience,
Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment within a new and rapidly developing market and company
Ability to work effectively across international borders and understanding of international accountancy
Knowledge and ability to work with and understand the exchange and utilization of foreign currencies.
Fluent in English, including reading and writing. Either a native speaker or at least 5 years of overseas experience;
Great interpersonal, communication, organization and diplomatic skills to deal with regional and international cultural issues;
Analytically minded with an eye for details and problem solving skills;
Excellent communication and computer skills;
Background in travel, insurance or medical industries
A plus; cultural experience and proficiency in a 2nd or 3rd language, such as Thai, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Indonesian, Arabic, Malaysian, Taiwanese, Russian, German or other European languages.
