Opportunity for a Chief Designer IC Electro-chemical plating Equipment

Currently “CEM PYRAMID” operates in Asia and Middle East supplying its goods and services to major clients. The group is innovating and expanding its businesses and is exploring product renewal and improved technical services to customers to ensure cost-effective production. The Chief Designer IC Electro-chemical plating equipment will lead and facilitate a team of energetic staff to ensure high quality design and manufacturing of machines and related equipment, and on-demand problem-solving with customers. She/He will report to the General Manager Production Operations. She/He will have the following profile:

Chief Designer

Key Role:

Responsible for innovative conceptual engineering design of custom-made machines and/or equipment for IC electro-chemical plating;
Supervise the translation of engineering concepts and approaches of machine and equipment designs to detailed engineering plans and other project-related documents that are essential to ensure high quality machine manufacturing;
Validate and review all project related drawings and control documents including Bill of Materials;
Actively participate in selection of components and materials, and sourcing vendors of components and sub-contract assembly/fabrication;
Co-ordinate fabrication, inspection, installation, testing and commissioning of equipments;
Co-ordinate preparation of machine operation instruction manual;
Validate and Troubleshoot design problems form-a-distance and on-site;
Collaborate with the Chemical Innovations Team on R&D assignments for machine and equipment innovations;
Conduct on the job training for customers and provide field services and support to customer service unit;
Manage a team of designers and engineers from Mechanical/Electrical/Software engineering and provide guidance and leadership for on-time, cost-effective and high-quality delivery;

Competences:

Minimum Masters Degree in Mechanical/Electronics Engineering with minimum 7-10 years of experience in machine design and engineering in the semiconductor sector or equivalent industry;
Knowledge of CAD/CAM/Solid Edge or similar 3D modeling software applications;
Possess excellent knowledge in system control, software design and programming, maintenance and failure analysis;
Experienced in Process and Project Management including fabrication, installation and commissioning. The use of project planning tools is highly preferred, to meet project schedule with excellent budget control skills and review against key project deliverables;
Competency for resolving problems and instituting best (international) practices;
Possess knowledge of patent (IP) registration and maintenance;
Strong people developer and team-player with ability to coach and influence others with a high level of integrity, and sense of business ethics, including fraud prevention.
Excellent language proficiency (oral and written) skills in English and – preferably- Chinese;
Willingness to travel to China and within East/South East Asia.
