Category Executive Watson Group

Reporting to the Category & Store Development Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with the Buyers on sales and space utilization review of product categories to achieve targets set in category plans. You will also manage the maintenance of home shelf and promotion planograms in accordance to the schedule set, and ensure that planogram changes are implemented smoothly and on-time.

Responsibilities:

1) Category Management

Drive quarterly category reviews using internal and external data, and collaborate with Buyers to:
- identify category trends and opportunities
- create an efficient and effective assortment and planogram
- assess promotion effectiveness in the market and Watsons
- understand pricing elasticity
Work with Buyers to develop and implement category plans to deliver category targets, including sales, margins and market share

2) Maintenance of Home Shelf and Promotion Planograms

Key driver in the phase in of new products onto home shelves in accordance to schedule
Ensure proper placement of products within the designated home shelf that enhances shopper experience
Work with Buyers and Supply Chain team to ensure smooth phase in and out of new and underperforming products respectively

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Retail Management or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, attained in a dynamic and fast-paced retail environment
Those with experience in research companies or trade marketing are welcome
Able to be hands-on and prioritize under pressure and tight deadlines
Confident, take initiatives and ownership, self-motivated, and with a high level of drive, integrity and professionalism
Work independently with minimum supervision and a dedicated team player
Good command of English with strong business analysis skills
Proficient in MS Office Applications
