Buyer

Reporting to the Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing and achieving sales targets and profitability through stock control, cataloguing, pricing policy, merchandise promotion and financial budget control.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Business Management/Sales & Marketing or a relevant discipline;
• 3 years of relevant experience in retail merchandising/product development;
• Analytical, sound commercial acumen and strategic business sense;
• Highly organized, assertive with strong negotiating skills, and able to prioritize and meet deadlines;
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision, and in a team;
• High level of drive, integrity and professionalism, and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines;
• Exceptional communication (spoken and written), interpersonal and time management skills;
• Excellent command of English and proficient in MS Office Applications;
• Prior experience in FMCG or challenging retail environment preferred;
• Available immediately or within short notice is advantageous.
