Assistant Manager (Business Development)

Responsibilities
You will work on industry programs that support the vibrant development of Singapore’s magazine/book publishing and film/television production businesses. You will engage the small medium Singapore media enterprises to understand their expansion and operational needs, and to propose the types of assistance deemed appropriate and necessary to facilitate their business growth. You will interact with renowned, established players to promote and encourage collaborations with the Singapore companies in the development of high quality magazines, books, films and television shows for international sales. You will also seek further interest to develop these magazines, books, films and television shows into highly-commercial branded properties via syndication, cross-media licensing/adaptation and merchandising, to enable the small medium Singapore media enterprises build a portfolio of marquee brands for greater business sustainability.

(B) Animation or Games

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for formulating and implementing plans and programs to help develop the Singapore Animation / Games industry by providing support for development, production and distribution of high quality exportable animation content through development funding, co-investment and other industry development initiatives. This will include constantly engaging local companies in the animation / games sector to understand their development needs and facilitate their growth, assessing and attracting international media companies to Singapore, and encouraging their collaboration with local animation / games companies.

Pre-requisites (For positions A and B)
You would have a degree in Business, Marketing, Economics and/or Strategic Finance with 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in business development functions, or in industry development. You should have a keen awareness and interest in the latest media developments and trends; and/or a passion in animation / games.
