Assistant Claims Manager / Claims Supervisor BUPA Asia Limited

Assistant Claims Manager / Claims Supervisor

Job Purpose

v To ensure quality, productivity, cost effectiveness and promptness of all claims payment processing; accountable for accuracy and documentation. Supervise advisor to achieve personal and company’s objective.

Accountabilities and Activities

  • Maintain a consistent and positive customer service image when interacting with customers
  • Complete daily assigned work within targeted turnaround time
  • Process claims payment
  • Ensure claims payment is assessed and evaluated against the terms of the policy and conform to regulatory compliance
  • Make appropriate request for further information for claims assessment and follow up appropriately.
  • Execute all communications with other departments, providers, customers and their appointed intermediaries relating to matter such as claims status, benefit entitlement, exclusion etc
  • Handling inquiries and follow up customers’ request within targeted turnaround time
  • Support claims advisors in handling customers’ request and follow up customer’s inquires

To be successful in the position, you should have

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 3 to 4 years’ on the job experience in medical claims payment processing
  • Medical knowledge (diagnosis, procedures)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Cantonese is required.
  • Proficiency in MS office applications and Chinese Word Processing
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with customers
  • High levels of integrity and trust
