We are public listed company on the Singapore Stock Exchange, specializing in international distribution of specialty chemical products and in manufacturing of proprietary chemicals.

Assistant Accountant/Accountant

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide support to the Finance Department.

Roles & Responsibilities

Handle full sets of accounts – AP, AR, GL, bank, stock, reconciliation, monthly closing, in a timely and accurate manner;
Manage customer and vendor credit terms, limits and outstanding which entails liaising with suppliers/ customers to resolve the accounts related matter;
Supervise, guide and monitor Accounts Assistant in daily operation;
Liaise with auditors and tax agents etc. on audit and tax matters;
Prepare annual budget and forecast including cashflow;
Review product costing and manufacturing operation costs;
Assist the Manager in preparing periodic management reports and audited financial reports;
Assists in other assignments as assigned

Required Skills

Able to work under stress to meet deadline. Ability to work in fast-paced environment with minimum supervision
Team player, meticulous and detailed orientated
Independent, initiative and good interpersonal skills
Good language command in the English and Mandarin languages
Possess analytical skills with good planning and problem-solving capability
Have some business acumen – able to relate the finance function to the business requirements
Matured personality with positive attitude and initiative.

Experience & Qualifications

Degree from a good university in Accountancy/ Finance, ACCA or a qualified CPA. Otherwise, must have at least a diploma in Accountancy. Candidates currently pursuing the final stage of professional qualifications such as ACCA & CIMA can be considered
Minimum 3 years relevant work accounting and auditing experience working in the accounting firms and/ manufacturing environment is desired
Working knowledge of SAP systems will be an added advantage
