Assistant Accountant – Avocent Asia Pacific Pte Ltd

Assistant Accountant
This position reports to the Finance Director and will be primarily responsible for Revenue Analysis and Revenue Recognition in accordance with GAAP. This includes coordinating sales analysis and revenue forecasting with both the sales and management teams, reviewing sales contracts for revenue recognition issues, providing recommendations with respect to compliance with GAAP, and documenting compliance with GAAP.
Specifically, the responsibilities entail:
- Forecasting of Sales & Revenues
- Maintain & Approve Pricing (Including the pricing calculator)
- Reporting & Analysis of Sales & Revenues
- Deal Approvals
- Quarterly Financial & Metric Reporting
- Sales Team Liaison provide analysis & recommendations
- Commission Approvals & Payouts
- Royalty Reporting
- Sales Returns
- Revenue Recognition compliance
- Quarterly sales order review
- Preparation of Monthly Asia Report
- Preparation of Monthly Operations Report
- Recognition & Deferral of DSV3 Income
- Extended warranty amortisation
- Professional services reallocation
- Quarterly Right of Return Reserve adjustment
- Quarterly Warranty Reserve adjustment
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- Degree in Accounting or recognized accounting qualification
- At least 5 – 8 years in finance/accounting role within group/regional level (APAC) within an MNC
- Prior experience/knowledge of the GAAP standards and relevant statutory reporting requirements essential
- Highly flexible, responsive & initiative in an extremely fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Able to step up the role & value-add under pressure as a solutions-provider
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
