Formed in 1988, Action for AIDS (AfA) is a voluntary community based organization and a registered charity. We are also a registered IPC under the Ministry of Health. Our objectives are to provide support and assistance to persons living with HIV and AIDS (PWAs); to increase awareness, education and understanding of AIDS and HIV infection; to combat discrimination and stigmatisation of (PWAs) and their loved ones; and to encourage AIDS-related research activities in Singapore

Requirements:

Diploma or tertiary education in Health Sciences preferred but not essential
Keen interest and believe in the cause
Open-minded, integrity, ability to embrace diversity
Proactive, possess a strong sense of responsibility
Ability to preserve confidentiality
Outgoing and service-oriented
Pleasant personality and able to communicate with people of all levels
Ability to work independently yet is also a team player
Good command of English
Competent in Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint. SPSS a plus

Job Description:

Reports to the Executive Director, the person is expected to:

Job scope:

Handle clinic operations
Handling of administrative function of the clinic such as accounts, handling positive cases and referral to care management
Inventory control, SOP & developing new initiatives
Research, data analysis of clients for submission to stakeholders
Volunteer Management
Rostering of volunteers to ensure adequate manpower including Phlebotomist
Clinic volunteer training ensuring consistency in standards
Work with relevant stakeholders in running projects and programmes to encourage HIV testing
Other ad-hoc projects when required by management
