WIGETWORKS is a Singapore company which is involved in the development of the revolutionary Airfish family of Wing In Ground-Effect (WIG) craft. The Airfish 8, currently under development, is the first WIG craft in the world to be certified and provides a stepping stone into the future of maritime transportation. Aerodynamics Engineer

The Aerodynamics Engineer would be responsible for aerodynamic development, design and testing in relation to WIG Craft. This would include areas involving stability and control, propulsion, and flight performance, testing and evaluation. The Aerodynamics Engineer would be involved in the definition and control of aerodynamic geometry, in establishing performance specification and operational envelopes, in the design and development of propulsion and control systems, and in co-ordination with external parties on R&D related activities, certification, and testing. The candidate should also be familiar with aviation and/or marine regulatory requirements.

The Aerodynamics Engineer would also be required to:

Perform analysis on craft stability and control, and on propulsion and performance issues,
Define R&D requirements and co-ordinate and manage R&D related activities in Aerodynamics,
Evaluate propulsion and aerodynamic systems for conformance with regulatory requirements,
Implement and manage a Weight Management and Control System,
Supervise the preparation of plans and documents for submission to regulatory bodies and for assembly and integration,
Co-ordinate with regulatory bodies on concept acceptance, aerodynamics systems approval and on test and trials, and,
Provide technical support for assembly, integration, test and trials and for after sales engineering

Requirements:

Good Honours Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
Preferably with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar capacity or in a R&D environment
Background in aerodynamics, aircraft control and/or propulsion systems design, analysis and testing
Familiarity with the certification process would be an added advantage
Fresh graduates with a background in Aerodynamics and Fluid Dynamics would be considered
