ACCOUNTANT (Payments)

Reporting to the Senior Accountant (Operations), you are predominantly responsible for overseeing the Accounts Payables function. You will process overseas payments in the form of Telegraphic Transfers, Demand Drafts and prepare high volume of cheques and GIRO payments. You are also required to review Creditors statements of accounts and monitor bank balances and fixed deposits to manage the liquidity while maximizing returns. This role will also be charged with preparation of accounting journals and reviewing art projects and exhibition accounts and liaising with budget holders on all payment related issues.

Requirements

Degree in Accountancy or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience preferably in accounts payables
Experience in Financial forecasting, analysis and report writing
Familiar with MS Office and accounting software applications. Knowledge in Oracle Financial System is an added advantage
Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written and spoken English
Must be hands-on and able to work with minimum supervision
