how do I find out about U.S. Open tennis qualifiers in a city by me?

i am a tennis player, and i am very good. however, i do not know how to get my hands on a tennis qualifying match schedule so i can be in the 2009 u.s. open. i am also young, so how old do i have to be to participate?

If you are under/around 17 you should go for juniors.
If you are over 17 you should go for main draw.
Contact the USTA with and email or ring them up so you can hear the answer from the horses mouth.
Such important information needs to be heard and inquired about by yourself via email and they will see that you are eager to play.
You need to be a top ranked state/national player to be in with a chance, they don't just let anyone in, you need a decent ranking.
