Which cable companies will no longer carry Comedy Central and why?

I was watching Comedy Central and noticed a scroll across the screen stating that Time Warner and another cable company will no longer carry Comedy Central, Spike TV, and a few other channels starting today or tonight or something along those lines. Where can I find out more about that and which cable companies exactly are affected and why this is being done?

I saw the same thing, so I called the number and they asked if I lived in Birmingham (which I do) and they said it did not apply here. It makes absolutely no sense. If I were you I'd just call and find out about your area. The number I called was 1-800-762-3786.
