Has Michael Jackson confirmed that he converted to Islam?

I have read in various articles and heard on some news stations that Michael Jackson has converted to Islam and became a muslim. Is this true? Did Michael Jackson, himself, ever confirm from his own words or through his spokesperson that he has converted to Islam? I am just not too sure about believing the media about everything.

This rumor was going on even a couple years back. I don't think Jackson himself stated that he converted, but one can't be too sure.

No, Michael hasn't confirmed it, nor has any spokesperson of his. They haven't said anything about it.
I highly doubt its true though. Over the last 10 years there have been countless reports of "Breaking News: Michael Jackson had Converted to Islam!"
Every report of this story has turned out to be completely false.
So, not surprisingly, all this story is is the media looking for controversy, cause that's what sells.

his lawyer wrote or said something that said that all rumours of michael converting to islam were rubbish. How can a man who says he believes in God, says, 'God bless you' to everybody, says his talent comes from heaven, (and recently) possibly convert to islam so easily. Besides, I am convinced Michael never will, and as for all the 'Mikael' or whatever it was business, why was he still being referred to everywhere as michael? The press and these news people are quite mad, along with the mj haters, don't you agree? It would be better than a millstone were hanged about there neck and they be thrown into the depths of the sea.
