Even in a clear cut victory, can the election results be considered void?

Dars What if Bush wants to be president longer? Can't he do that somehow, or just give the presidency to McCain regardless of the results?

dude:
LOL, he can try. that is called a "coup".

An election can be void if there is enough fraud. The electoral college can vote for whoever they want. Someon can die. Many things can happen.
rhsaunders:
The Constitutional rules will be followed, no matter what.

gop_lisa:
Sorry, the constitution is very clear on this issue. Bush can't be preseident any longer and the people determine who the next president is unless the guy they pick is found to be ineligible. Which could very well happen in the Berg v Obama case in the Supreme Court right now.
True Friend:
Only if McCain wins. Presidents can retain office in times of crisis.
Emily C:
You ought to read the Constitution to answer your stated questions. Go ahead, read it, it's all there expressed concisely so lay people can understand. Were I to speculate, you have never read the Constitution. If you had, you would simply know all that you suggest are unconstitutional and ILLEGAL.

Well, Gore won in 2000, yet bush was able to void it by stealing it with the help of Florida's state secretary, his brother the governor of Florida, and most importantly by appealing to the conservative judges of the supreme court.

We live in a democracy

What you are suggesting in anarchy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
or more probably a dictatorship!
