My boyfriend told me he was 19 turning 20 but on his hi 5 he says his 21?

I don't get it.I did a search on hi5 for my bf becouse I no he has one without telling him and on his page he says his birthday is june 21 and which he told me his birthday was in july 30 and also it says his 21 meaning his turning 22 .But he told me he was 19 turning 20.

Which one do I believe and why would he need to lie.

Some people lie on the internet, maybe if you need to be a certain age to sign up to that site, for example, and then he never changed it when he got past the proper age. I know a lot of people who did that on myspace. Also if they don't want their real DOB out there. If they've got their name and pictures, they might like to limit the info (due to identity theft etc), yet need a DOB to sign up so they put in a fake one.

But he could be lying to you, not sure of his reasons, but presumably he would feel he'd have a better chance with you if he were younger. You'll have to speak to him about this.

how do you no know his real age?
look at his drivers license or something.

I don't know why he would lie. I had a guy tell me he was 24 when he was 25 I thought it was absurd when I found out. (like one year made a difference) But I can tell you one thing that was just the tip of the iceberg of his lies!
If a person lies for no reason it is usually because they have a lot to hide.

i think that maybe when he signed up he didnt trust the site very much so he put in a false birthday...and he though he'd look better if people on there thought he was older

unless your alot younger than him, which he might have lied to have more of a chance with you, i cannnot see another reason to lie.
and i definatly cannot see a reason to lie about his birthday.

oh and i just remember i signed up to hi5 a few years ago and i was only 13 and you couldnt select that age on the sign up form so i had to put a different age... he may have done that and as hes got older the age is still the wrong one
