What's your opinion on the Sarah Silverman Program?

Comedy Central just gave it a new time slot which means the shows death is coming soon. Are ratings low?

IMO it sucks! I can't stand at the end when she tries to talk, and leave with the "What I learned today..." joke. It's a copycat move of THE GREAT Amy Sedaris and Strangers With Candy. Even the whole animal thing. The show is not funny at all. It's a wannabe SWC. (Which it never will be) I only like one line from the show. What's your opinion on the SSP?
What you don't understand is that when Comedy Central changes a shows time slot, that means the show is about to be canned. I just checked the ratings are terrible!

Checked out a little bit last thursday.......it should be off the air by May at latest June.

Some of it is funny if you like politically incorrect humor. Some of the subject matter are things that are normally not funny but you do find yourself laughing from time to time. I actually watch it for the shock value. I'm more shocked by what she says/does than I am humored.

The Sarah Silverman show is lame, racist and unfunny. The only reason she even got a show was because she's Jimmy Kimmel's girlfriend - nepotism got her the show, but she needed the talent to keep the ratings up, and she doesn't have that!

i actually found it quite funny. Your right that it will never be as great as strangers with candy, but its on its way. It's using whats popular in the world of comedy right now, which happens to be immature comedy. It'll evolve just like all of the other great comedy shows. as for the ratings....i dont have any idea, but i would assume high if the gave it a time slot...

Haven't seen any of it, and also have no desire to see it. It just doesn't look funny. The previews, to me, seem to be the same old recycled joke with no new spin at all. I agree, it will be dead soon.

I was really looking forward to her show and i barely made it through the first episode. It was horrible....i never laughed once. I never bothered with the second episode or so forth. Im just not one who thinks the word vagina is that funny.
And that voice she uses that she thinks is so funny,,,,it hurts my ears. Jimmy Kimmel is probably laying low for a while . how embarrassing for him.lol
