How can I find out the election results for Amendments in Alabama?

humpty dumpty During the Nov 2006 election an amendment to raise property taxes by 30 percent in Jackson County were approved by state wide balloting. Also is this legal, i.e., state wide balloting for local county issues? It certainly doesn't appear ethical?
