Where did the Strangers with Candy movie go?

kate_bis it was supposed to come out last year, and it never opened? anyone know why? i need me some amy sedaris!

It was a Sundance only release. Look for this on DVD June 28th, 2006.

It premiered at Sundance in 2005, and was picked up by Warner Independent. It was supposed to come out last October, but Warner dropped it at the last minute because of clearance issues. Now it's been picked up by THINKFilm. It will open in NY and LA on June 28th, the top 10 market on July 7, the top 20 market on July 14, and then will open in a wider release based on theater availability on July 21.
