Election Results FAQ

Granted, the population is howling in protest against the re-election of the current leader, but I've so far failed to see conclusive evidence of election fraud. In that light, I am finding it rather cheeky by other governments, like the US and Germany, to simply presume things - or have I missed something?

At what time does the result of the US election (in November) usually come out? What about the estimates?

Is there any way I can have the election result texted to my phone? I just checked CNN.com and they said that the last state to close its polls will be Alaska at 1 am ET. I plan on being asleep at that time lol. My wireless provider is Cingular. I already tried to get CNN breaking news alerts but they only work for Verison customers. Anyone know of a good REPUTABLE source that would be able to text me the results? Thanks in advance!

why does it take so long to get the final results of an election? and why do candidates analyze the election results>?

I thought the results would come in quick if it is on computers but then they said on tv could be too close to call some states initially, so are results in or is it just exit polls?

What if Bush wants to be president longer? Can't he do that somehow, or just give the presidency to McCain regardless of the results?

I know this depends on how close the election is, and a number of other factors, but what would be the earliest that the election would be called? Would I miss all the good stuff if I'm on an airplane until 10 p.m. Central time on election night?

Also, where can i find the results. What part is most likely to win a seat ? Can you please tell me the likely hood of BMP getting a seat?

I heard on the radio (WABC in NY) that the superdelegates can overturn the results of the Democrapic primary, meaning if the people vote for Obama, the party elite could overrule their voice and nominate Hillary. Please tell me this is NOT true. And the pols wonder why people don't vote anymore.
