Use it to move your characters and have them perform all kinds of specific actions — whether it’s throwing a pass in football or aiming a ranged weapon in an action game. The ambidextrous nature of the Wii controllers grants accessibility seldom seen in game controllers.

The Wii Remote Controller makes gaming accessible to people of all ages and all abilities. Nintendo fused the familiarity of a remote control with the sophistication of motion-sensing technology — creating a multifunctional device limited only by the imagination. In a tennis game, it serves as a racket you swing with your arm. In a driving game, it serves as your steering wheel. For first-person shooters, the remote acts as your weapon that you point at an enemy. The list of potential uses goes on and on. Forgot to add the Wii Fit, this has revolutionised the video game industry. One has to play this to truly experience and appreciate the technology Nintendo has pumped into this.

IMO, nintendo is taking video games old-skool – good, clean fun. Xbox & PS3 are more for the serious gamers.

I think all 3 have their respective places in the industry

The Wii just keeps getting better. What incredible technology! I wasn’t really sold on the system until a friend of mine got one and I started playing. It’s just a blast. And all the peripherals? Marketing genius.
